Deed Research

The most important element of land surveying is deed research. The vesting deed for the property you are surveying along with the previous deed(s) that preceded the vesting deed. The contiguous adjoining property deeds must be researched as well. The deeds are plotted and serve as a “road map” for the surveyor in the field.

At Roome Land Surveying, we place significant emphasis on this step to ensure our findings are of the highest accuracy possible. This step occurs in every survey we perform, in some form, and is crucial to determining where the boundary and corners are on the ground.
