The people behind Roome Land Surveying

Fred Bemenderfer has surveyed the Dallas–Fort Worth area since 1983 and has owned Roome Land Surveying since 1988. He began land surveying in 1977 in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Fred holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry and a Master of Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. Before surveying, he worked as a forester with the U.S. Forest Service and as a teacher at Longview Pine Tree ISD. In surveying, he found the knowledge it requires and the physical demands of field work equally rewarding.

Having surveyed from Plano since 1983, Fred is a mentor to many surveyors across the Dallas–Fort Worth area. As a Rotarian, he spent decades at the Plano Balloon Festival preparing and serving funnel cakes to festivalgoers. His current favorite Rotary service is laying out the grid for the Flags of Honor project in Plano during the week of Veterans Day.

Chad Sledge is a 1993 graduate of Tarleton State University and has been in surveying for more than 30 years.

The bulk of that time has been focused on residential surveying and meeting the surveying needs of new home construction.

Mike Cuzzo has been a Dallas-area resident for 40+ years. He graduated from L.V. Berkner High School in Richardson in 1985 and from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry in 1994.

He has been surveying for more than 30 years and received his RPLS license in 2003.
