Design Survey

A design survey is perhaps the most stringent and precise survey typically ordered by engineers and architects. It includes all the elements of a title survey but adds to the list - elevations. Elevations are required to generate contours to show existing drainage patterns, elevations on all utilities (manhole, curb and gutter of street(s), and elevations to help determine if the property lies within a special flood hazard area.

Although not completely conclusive, you can see if your property may lie within a flood plain by visiting our Resources page to view the useful links under FEMA Flood Maps.
