Denton County
Useful links to get you started. What applies to a project depends on the cities and counties involved in it, so check with the offices that affect yours — each one is the authority on its own requirements. We do not obtain permits or handle permitting for clients. We add local references here as they become available.
Appraisal District
Property values, ownership, parcel maps, and account details from the county appraisal district. A practical first stop for identifying who likely owns a tract — then confirmed against the deed records, which are the legal record of title.
Deed Records
Deeds, recorded plats, easements, liens, and other instruments filed with the county clerk. This is where the vesting deed and the deeds preceding it are found, which is where boundary work starts.
Permits and Development
City and county permitting offices.
Platting and Subdivision
City and county subdivision and platting rules.
Floodplain and Drainage
Local floodplain, drainage, and development information.
Maps and GIS
County mapping tools for parcels, boundaries, and flood layers. Useful for orientation and early research; they do not establish where a boundary sits on the ground.
