As-Built Survey
An as-built survey involves surveying a piece of property with all improvements shown. It documents what was actually constructed and where it sits relative to the boundary, easements, and building lines.

What this service involves
Overview
As-built surveys are used to compare constructed improvements against the approved plans, to document a property for sale or refinance, and to support permits for additions or new work.
We locate structures, paving, utilities, and other site features as they exist and show them on the drawing.
On commercial projects the as-built often includes elevations and utility inverts requested by the engineer or city.

How the process works
Step 1 — Contact Us
You contact us with the property address and the type of survey or project need, by quote request or phone. We'll get back to you with a quote as soon as possible.
Step 2 — Review and Confirm
We research deed records, plats, and other documents to confirm scope, pricing, and timeline with you.
Step 3 — Fieldwork Scheduled
Our in-house field crew completes the field work. Surveys usually take four to five business days, depending on how complex the property is and how much research its location needs; homebuilder work is typically one to two business days.
Step 4 — Office Processing
Our in-house drafting department prepares the drawing as soon as our crew sends in the data, and it is reviewed and approved by a Registered Professional Land Surveyor.
Step 5 — Delivery
The survey is delivered by email as a PDF (signed hardcopies available upon request).
Frequently asked questions
How is an as-built different from a final survey?
A final survey is the builder's closing survey on a new home. An as-built survey can be ordered on any property at any time to document the improvements as they exist, and often includes more detail for engineers or cities.
Can the as-built include elevations?
Yes. Tell us what the engineer or city requires and we will include elevations, utility inverts, or other features in the scope.
